UAE Russian Council of Entrepreneurs Holds First Reporting and Election Meeting

The leadership of the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs (RSP) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates organized a business breakfast for all members of the RSP with the aim of summing up the results of the first year of work, promulgating plans for next year and re-election of the Presidency of the RSP.

The new Dubai luxury hotel Kempinski Hotel & Residences, located in the western part of the "crescent" encircling the man-made island of The Palm Jumierah, was chosen as the venue for breakfast.

Welcoming all those gathered, the Chairman of the Presidium of the Council Igor Egorov addressed the members of the RSP, who reported on the work done and the activities carried out by the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs or with the participation of the Council in the UAE and Russia for 2010-2011. Mr. Yegorov also spoke about the first Golden Chariot government award received by the Russian Ministry of Transport, established by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and celebrating the merits of the Russian Federation in developing international cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, and the launch of the official website of the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs in the UAE - www.rbcdubai.org.

Further, the nearest plans of the RSP aimed at expanding and strengthening business cooperation between businessmen of the UAE, Russia, the CIS countries and the Baltic states, including the large-scale participation of the Council in the federal program "UAE Investment Card" (IMC), designed for seven years, were announced as its Russian coordinator, as well as the decision to hold an award ceremony for the best companies and private entrepreneurs in conjunction with the UAE Ministry of Economy and as part of IMC-2011 in December this year.

Among the specially invited guests, breakfast was attended by the President and Chairman of the Board of the Arab Business Club, Mr. Hamdan Muhammad, as well as correspondents from the emirate’s office of the TV company Rusiya Al-Yaum (Russia Today).

At the end of the official part of the breakfast, the festive cake, painted in the colors of the Russian flag, was solemnly cut, and the members of the RSP unanimously voted to declare the work of the Council satisfactory, and they re-elected the full list of the Presidency of the RSP next year. Further communication took place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Entrepreneurs discussed the possibility of establishing new partnerships, conducting joint projects, prospects for the further development of Russian business in the United Arab Emirates and neighboring countries, attracting new members to the RSP.
