The Dubai Roads and Transport Committee (RTA) has decided to allow students of the Emirate’s automobile schools to choose their own exam dates by making a reservation online or by calling the customer service center over the phone.
The ability to independently choose a date extends to both the driving theory test and the practice exam. At the same time, students, having chosen a date, can either change it or cancel the exam altogether 24 hours before it occurs. No fees will be charged for these changes. Choosing a date for passing the driving theory exam costs 210 dirhams (US $ 57) without any additional charges.
Recall that an examination in the theory of driving (knowledge test) was introduced at the beginning of this year instead of a theoretical exam (theory test).
