The annual Sharjah "Festival of Light" literally bewitched all the spectators who came to Al Qasba promenade to admire a beautiful and unusual sight. According to the Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), on the first night of the festival, about 20 thousand people gathered on the Al Qasba embankment, who came from all the emirates of the country to enjoy a great light performance with musical accompaniment.
During the festival shows, colored light projectors and computer animation are used, which are “superimposed” on the facades of the buildings and create the effect of “demolition”, “tracing” and “re-decoration”. The shows are held by experts from France and Berlin. The "Festival of Light" was held in Sharjah on 12 city buildings, including: 2 buildings on the Al Qasba embankment, the building of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, buildings in Al Majaz Park, Al Noor and Al Maghfira mosques, Palm building Oasis, home to Cultural Palace in the Heritage Area, as well as the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, Sharjah Hisn, Central Souq Market and six government buildings in Al Layyah.
