Tourist visas to Oman have risen in price four times, but have begun to operate three times longer.
The Ministry of Tourism of Oman has distributed information that from now on a tourist entry visa will give the right to stay in the country for 30 days, and will cost four times more than before.
The report says that if a visa used to cost 5 Omani rials (about 47 dirhams of the UAE), now it will cost 20 riyals (about 200 dirhams) .At the same time, before the visa gave the right to stay in the country only 10 days, and according to the new rules - 30 days from the moment of crossing the border.
It is also emphasized that tourists from several countries, including Russia, India, China and Iran, will be able to apply for a visa online, through a special form. This, according to the authorities of Oman, will attract more tourists from the above countries, which means - increase the income of the country's tourism industry.
