Residents of the UAE are more willing and pay extra for travel comfort than Europeans.
Dubai, UAE. Residents of the United Arab Emirates pay an average of about US $ 100 for additional travel services to make them more comfortable. This is stated in a new study by the global company Saber Corporation.
The study, in particular, showed that many travelers are willing to pay extra for services such as additional baggage allowance, choosing a seat on the plane, priority check-in for flights and related services that can make the trip easier and more enjoyable. It is worth noting that additional services are a separate and large source of income for air carriers, on which they earn about US $ 67.4 billion globally in 2016.
It is noted that tourists from the UAE in this sense are one of the biggest spenders: for example, about 29% of travelers surveyed are willing to spend at least US $ 137 on flight services, while another quarter of those surveyed willingly pay the same amount for additional services at the hotel - including spa and other leisure activities. On average, around the world, people are willing to pay for a similar service for only US $ 100, and tourists from Europe - only US $ 85.
