Ramadan in Dubai

This year, the holy month of Ramadan (or Uraza), the period of Muslim fasting, is reckoned from the beginning of October. At this time, Muslims are forbidden from sunrise to sunset to eat, drink, smoke and have fun. So that people who do not profess Islam, feel comfortable, in some hotels restaurants will be open for breakfast and lunch. They will be fenced off from prying eyes so that guests of the emirate feel at home here, but do not forget about respect for religious traditions.

After sunset, all Muslims make Iftar, an evening meal that completes the daytime fasting, and rest with the family.

For an evening conversation, or just to have a good time with friends, you can visit any of the beautiful tents spread out at the Dubai hotels. Here, usually from 7 pm to 3 am, they serve snacks, drinks, hookah and offer board games.

Dine at The Terrace and fly to Vienna

Sheraton Deira Hotel & Towers and Austrian airlines teamed up for the holy month of Ramadan to give you the opportunity to win four nights of free stays at a luxury Austrian hotel. All that is needed is a snack for 65 drx during the iftar (evening conversation) at The Terrace Restaurant, decorated in a Mediterranean style.

Chef Sabarval will prepare for you holiday treats: all kinds of soups and snacks, main dishes, desserts - and, of course, unforgettable refreshing juices that are hospitably offered during Iftar. A menu including traditional Arabic dishes is updated every day.

Having ordered lunch, you will become a participant in the lottery, the winner of which will be announced on November 5. So hurry up: only in the evenings during Iftar you can plunge into the warm friendly atmosphere of Sheraton Deira Hotel & Towers and become the proud owner of two round-trip tickets to more than 60 destinations served by Austrian airlines.
