The Three Pillars of Ayurveda

The human body is created in such a way that as a result of metabolic processes it accumulates toxins. And the less people think about their health, the more toxins they poison. Penetrating into the body, accumulating over the years, toxins create diseases that send us into the hands of the Aesculapius with the “Panadol” in hand. Having taken their action, painkillers diminish our understanding that, having cut the tops, we still have not reached the root of evil.

In Ayurveda, things are different. Ayurveda looks at the root and expels the disease through cleansing the body of toxins, and consciousness from negative programs. It acts just like getting rid of an unnecessary, old and stubborn fur coat on a hot summer day. The ancient Indian treatise postulates - "Ayurveda makes people happy, healthy and harmonious. To achieve this, a person must abide by three rules:

  1. Follow the daily routine of a healthy body and mind, seasonally supplementing it with the necessary procedures to prevent disease
  2. Conduct cleansing procedures and take natural medicines for diseases
  3. Restore the body’s strength and rejuvenate it to maintain a healthy and harmonious life. "

The body is in business!

Most of us do not see anything supernatural in the usual routine of cleaning our own homes. With pleasure or through force, we nevertheless vacuum the carpets, scrub the floors, wash the dishes, change the linen and wash the curtains. But imagine those ones that one day you decide to live as before, but not waste time and energy on cleaning. Avos will by itself resolve and be cleared. And so it lasts a month, six months, a year, five years, ten and tens of long years ... Presented? Now think, what is the state of your wonderful and initially pure organism, today? It is no better than the condition of the apartment, which no one has cleaned for many years. Ayurveda treatment begins with purification, and its main procedure is called "panchakarma." In Sanskrit, pancha means five, and karma means action. The five-step system of cleansing the entire body removes toxins from each of its cells in a natural way, through sweat glands, blood vessels, the genitourinary tract and intestines. In appearance, quite unpleasant therapy has proven effective for hundreds of years. Once having gone through all five stages and, in fact, feeling how easy and healthy your own body suddenly becomes, most of them are ardent adherents of a healthy lifestyle. In a clean house, breathing is easier, as doctors say.

Panchakarma - the key to a healthy life

Panchakarma - the procedure is not one of the most pleasant in appearance and description, but its implementation is desirable. At the preparatory stage, everything is fine: for several days, from three to seven, the patient's body is prepared for the marathon of purification. During a full massage, it is oiled with various oils, shifting toxins from a dead spot and activating doshas. Vegetable oils are used for external soaking, ghee, animal fats and bone oil are used for internal soaking. Doctors develop a combination of oils for each patient individually. The action is called "snekhan".

The saturation phase is followed by the sweating treatment phase (“reduced”). Due to an increase in body temperature, skin pores open, and adipose tissue, when it moves, turns into a liquid. As a result, all the natural channels for cleansing the body expand. "Swan" is carried out both using steam and through physical exercise. In addition, during the preparatory phase, other Ayurvedic practice procedures are also used, which will be discussed below. A trained, still warm patient is finally sent to undergo the main course of panchakarma. Without going into details, so as not to spoil the experience, we confine ourselves to a few details of the five steps.

The first is vomiting therapy (“vamana”), carried out using honey and rock salt. It very effectively eliminates diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, has a positive effect on the cure of tuberculosis, bronchitis, asthma, is indicated for diabetes, inflammation of the lymph glands, digestive disorders, including anorexia and dyspepsia, helps a sick heart.

What follows is a bowel cleansing therapy ("virechana") through natural laxatives, designed to remove from the body that which cannot be expelled through the mouth. Virechana helps to eliminate not only most of the diseases of the large intestine and urogenital area, but also gives a good effect on the skin condition, the course of anemia and helps restore the functions of the nervous system.

At the third stage, patients are given enemas ("vasti"), which wash out the remaining unnecessary waste products.

The patients who survived the first three stages are then completely cleansed of the upper respiratory tract by instillation of medical oils ("nasya") in the nose. Due to the fourth stage, the remaining mucus is removed from the sinuses, nasal cavity and throat, which has a beneficial effect on the condition of not only the ears, nose and throat, but also the teeth. Also, the patient recovers natural feelings and sensations.

The very last stage - “Moksha rakta” - implies bloodletting, which has long been used by many nations to improve the condition of the patient. During moksha rakt, toxins are circulated from the blood, circulating throughout the body in its streams and creating the prerequisites for diseases. At the fifth stage, the whole body is healed, as the blood becomes cleaner, the liver and spleen enter the correct rhythm of functioning. Often, patients observe resorption of various tumors.

After a course of panchakarma, doctors recommend that patients adhere to a healthy diet and lifestyle, be less nervous, and love all things. However, such thoughts arise by themselves: in a new, clean body, I don’t feel like smoking or hamburgers at all.

Being a complex and complex procedure, panchakarma should be carried out only under the supervision and with the participation of a qualified Ayurveda doctor. Each of the stages has a number of contraindications, and the program for each patient is strictly individual.

It is worth a try!

If you have no desire to indulge in all your difficulties and in a couple of weeks in a row to remove the "wealth" accumulated over the years from your body, you can limit yourself to some Ayurvedic procedures, the effect of which will undoubtedly be, even if you do them only once.

First of all, the famous oil massages from Ayurveda are of interest. Oils are selected by the doctor or professional therapist, depending on the individual constitution of each patient. First of all, they boost the functioning of the lymphatic system, which helps nourish the body and rid its cells of toxins. Oil massages effectively rejuvenate the body and prolong life. It is important that you receive Ayurvedic massage sessions from professionals who thoroughly know the physical and energetic nature of the body and are not able to harm.

Abhyiangam is a basic Ayurvedic massage of the body and head using warm oils. It harmonizes the functions of the lymphatic system, restores the positive energy of the body, deeply relaxes the muscles and relieves insomnia. When performing a Uzhichil massage, certain points of the body where vital energy is concentrated are affected by various forces with fingers, palm or fist. It is ideal for relieving stress, physical and psychological fatigue, relieves stress and makes the body more flexible.

Massage Elakkizhi (Elakkizhi) is carried out with special cloth bags, which contain warm fried leaves of medicinal herbs. It is carried out after a basic oil massage. It deeply relaxes muscles, softens ligaments, strengthens joints and muscles around the spine, relieves back pain, and helps with muscle cramps. During the procedure, toxins leave the cells.

(Navarakkizhi) a full body oil massage is performed. Then continue to massage with warm bags with special healing rice, previously dipped in warm milk and a decoction of herbs. In conclusion, an additional full oil massage follows. Navarakizhi softens tissues, superficial and deep, makes the skin silky and supple, strengthens muscles, nourishes joints and has a positive effect on digestion.

One of the most popular Ayurveda treatments is Siro Dhara, a unique South Indian state of Kerala. During Shirodhara, a warm oil made from a mixture of essences of herbs flows down onto a patient's forehead from a clay bowl suspended 15-20 centimeters above the face. The bowl moves rhythmically from side to side, and a trickle of oil calms the mind and restores clarity, relieves stress, relaxes and restores the nervous system. Shirodhara is also used in the treatment of skin diseases and hair loss.

The Ayurvedic procedure Udvarthanam helps to combat excess weight and cellulite, when after a basic oil massage a special herbal powder is applied to the body, which also removes surface impurities from pores and dead skin cells.

In case of migraine and sleep disturbances, problems with vision, and also to relieve stress, Ayurvedic doctors advise you to undergo the Sirovasthy procedure: a peculiar cone-shaped cap is put on the patient’s head, where warm healing oils are poured and left for half an hour.

And this is only part of the amazing and effective procedures that the ancient Indian Ayurveda healing system offers.

Turn to good professionals and be healthy and happy.
