Dubai police dragged the largest airliner 100 meters

In Dubai, a record was set for towing an A380 aircraft by Dubai police.

Dubai police set a unique record at the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) fitness challenge. A group of employees teamed up to push the Airbus A380, the largest production airliner, to a distance of 100 meters.

Thus, they broke the previous record, which was achieved by 100 people who towed an aircraft weighing 218 tons in Hong Kong. Challenge participants coped with an Emirates Airbus A380 weighing 302.68 tons.

Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, received a certificate from Huda Kassab, director of Guinness World Records.

The presentation of the certificate was attended by Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Ports, Abdullah Hussein Khan, Director General of Airport Security, and Vice President of Dubai Airports Jamal Al-Hai.

Major General Al-Marri praised the support of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, President of Dubai Airports Corporation, CEO of Emirates Airline, his strategic participation in achieving another world record.

He also praised the fitness initiative to enhance the culture of health and sport in the UAE community. He noted that the achievement of the Guinness World Record will be entrenched in the public mind, adding that it is also part of the Dubai police’s strategy to support community-based sports initiatives.

“At Dubai Police, we are guided by the instructions of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and President of the Dubai Sports Council.”
