500 residents of Dubai hit the Guinness Book of Records

Dubai sets a world record for jumping from a squat.

In Dubai, a world record was set for the number of people who simultaneously performed the jump-out exercise in one minute. 497 residents of the emirate - from gardeners to top managers - were listed in the Guinness Book of Records this Friday as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge.

Participants, including men and women, thus closed the Dubai Fitness Challenge fitness challenge.

The previous record was set by 471 residents of the UK, said an official spokesman for Guinness World Record.

Participants who registered before and at the venue were given Guinness T-shirts. A total of 26 participants were disqualified for non-compliance with instructions.

Among the participants were about 200 gardeners from the Parks and Horticulture Department of Dubai Municipality.

“Our task is to make Dubai beautiful,” one of the gardeners said, “today we are helping to make it healthy.”
