In the UAE, tens of thousands of mangroves will be planted.
Dubai, UAE. More than 30 thousand mangroves will be planted in the coastal areas of the United Arab Emirates as part of the ecotourism development program from 2017 to 2021, the UAE Ministry of Climate and Environmental Change said.
In addition, coral gardens of 24 species of coral will be created. The goal of the initiative is to prevent soil erosion and help restore biodiversity of marine flora and fauna. Thus, the ministry contributes to the events dedicated to the Year of Zayed in the UAE.
