Dubai municipality publishes official fines list

Dubai Municipality has published an official list of fines for a number of administrative offenses.

The authorities of Dubai on their website published a list of fines for various offenses in the city. Dubai is one of the cleanest cities in the world, so the city authorities, in an effort to maintain this structure, are sometimes forced to take the most stringent measures.

Dubai residents should be well aware of the rules in force in the city, as their violation can cost a round sum. Therefore, if you come to Dubai on vacation, or live here permanently, you just need to know what is strictly forbidden to commit in the city.

So, throwing out garbage, urinating in places not intended for this, spitting in public places will cost violators 500 dirhams.

More severe fines await those who ignore wastewater leaks or garbage discharges in unauthorized places - this violation is “worth” 10,000 dirhams. In hot weather, which is not uncommon for Dubai, make sure that the air conditioning in your car does not leak, otherwise you will have to pay a fine to the authorities.

You should be aware that in the Dubai metro or at bus stops it is not allowed to chew gum. If the police notice that you spit out gum on the sidewalk, you will be fined 1,000 dirhams.

However, one of the largest fines is the following violation: "discharge of any kind of waste in the open, or in places not intended for this purpose." Keep in mind that if you commit this act, you will be impoverished by 100,000 dirhams.
