Flydubai starts flying to Aqaba and Thessaloniki

Aqaba and Thessaloniki join Flydubai's growing route network.

Dubai, UAE. Flydubai Airlines announced the launch of flights to Thessaloniki (Greece) and Aqaba (Jordan) from June 2018. Thanks to the latest additions to the growing Flydubai network, passengers from the UAE and the entire region will be able to travel from Dubai to over 100 airline destinations.

Flydubai will be the first UAE carrier to fly to Aqaba and Thessaloniki. The airline will operate flights to Thessaloniki three times a week starting on June 15, and to Aqaba four times a week starting on June 16.

Commenting on the launch, Flydubai’s chief executive Gate Al Gate said: “With the addition of Aqaba and Thessaloniki, our network will increase the number of destinations that did not previously have direct flights with the UAE or were not served by a national carrier from the UAE, based in Dubai. The number of such destinations will increase to 71, which makes up more than 70% of all our network. This indicates that we are true to our goal - to create free flows of trade and tourism and to develop direct air communication with the UAE. "

“We look forward to the start of Flydubai flights to Aqaba and Thessaloniki. Both cities are major economic, industrial, commercial centers and very popular holiday destinations, especially in the summer. These destinations will become more accessible for travelers looking for new routes, which will contribute to the growth of passenger traffic and the development of tourism. between the UAE, Greece and Jordan, ”said Jeyhun Effendi, senior vice president of commercial operations in the UAE, the Middle East, Europe and the CIS. “Traveling along new routes, Flydubai and connecting flights from other airlines, including Emirates, will be able to take advantage of our reliable and affordable services in both business and economy class,” he added.
