World famous chef opens a restaurant in Dubai

Heston Blumenthal's new restaurant will be located in the luxury resort of Dubai.

World-renowned chef Heston Blumenthal will open a restaurant at the Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences in Dubai in 2019. This was announced on Monday.

Dinner by Heston Blumenthal is the first named restaurant to open at the hotel and the third restaurant launched by a chef awarded with Michelin stars for restaurants in London and Melbourne.

The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences complex itself will offer 231 luxury apartments, including Skycourts, Penthouses and Garden Suites, as well as 795 rooms and residences.

Located on The Palm next to the iconic Atlantis, Heston Blumenthal will be in the heart of the resort. It will have a bar, two terraces and a separate restaurant area.

The restaurant offers modern dishes inspired by iconic gastronomic recipes dating back to the 14th century.

"I am really happy to discover in this incredible place. Such an opportunity does not often appear. A stunning background and completely unique views of the Dubai skyline over the Persian Gulf," said Blumenthal.

He added that the idea of ​​the restaurant is related to his passion for history and gastronomy. Dinner, which offers modern dishes inspired by the gastronomic scene from the Middle Ages to the Victorian era, received two Michelin stars in 2012.
