The tourism sector will create 720 thousand jobs in the UAE by 2028.

Dubai, UAE. The tourism and hospitality industry will provide more than 720,000 people with jobs in the United Arab Emirates by 2028, according to a forecast by the World Tourism and Travel Council. Thus, the tourism sector will employ over 10.2% of the total working population of the country.

Currently, tourism brings to the UAE treasury 154.1 billion dirhams (US $ 42 billion), or 11.3% of the country's GDP. By 2028, this figure will increase to 234.2 billion (US $ 63.7 billion) and will amount to 10.6% of state GDP. Currently, the tourism industry employs 300 thousand people in the UAE.

According to the Minister of Economy of the UAE, Sultan Al Mansouri, the Emirates remain the leading regional tourist destination and one of the main tourist centers in the world due to its ultra-developed infrastructure, outstanding level of service, stability and security, as well as high quality transport links.
