On June 10, 2018, the XI annual country conference of organizations of Russian compatriots living in the UAE was held in Dubai.

The 11th annual country conference of organizations of Russian compatriots living in the UAE was held on June 10, 2018 in Dubai and brought together representatives of five public organizations of Russian compatriots of the UAE that are members of the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots (KSORS).
Greetings to the audience were made by the honorary guests of the conference: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the UAE Alexander Vladimirovich Efimov, Advisor to the Ambassador Yuri Yurievich Vidakas, and Consul General of the Russian Consulate in Dubai and Northern Emirates Anton Valeryevich Sharagov, who positively evaluated the contribution of the KSORS organizations to public life of the Russian diaspora in the UAE.
Igor Albertovich Egorov, representative of the Africa and the Middle East region at the World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots (VCS), informed those present about the main directions of their work in this position, as well as about the most important tasks facing compatriot organizations around the world.
Saleh Al Aroud, Chairman of the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, spoke about the organization’s achievements over the past year and the support of Russian entrepreneurs in the UAE market. In particular, a reception was held for representatives of Russian companies participating in the GITEX technology exhibition, a reception on the occasion of the visit of the Leaders Club delegation, a business lunch with the delegation of St. Petersburg led by Vice Governor Sergei Nikolayevich Movchan, etc. For entrepreneurs working in the UAE, were held: a joint seminar with the Ministry of Labor, a business week with the SEZ Khalifa Industrial Zone, as well as numerous networking. A memorandum of cooperation with RUSSOFT was also signed, a partnership agreement was concluded with the Russian Export Center (REC).
Tatyana Al Aroud, chairman of the organization of Russian women in the United Arab Emirates "Rossiyanka", spoke about the cultural and social activities of the organization, including measures to support family and motherhood. “In November, we attended the celebration of the UAE Flag Day at the International Institute of Tolerance. We took part in organizing and conducting such traditional Russian holidays as Russia Day, March 8, Victory Day, the embassy New Year Tree in Abu Dhabi "Held the organization of international days in Dubai schools, Al Noor Training Center events for children with disabilities," said Tatyana Al Aroud.
Representatives of other organizations of the Council also made reporting reports: Dr. Safa Al-Janabi, vice president of the Association of Russian Compatriots (ARS) in the UAE; German Gussakovsky, head of the Youth Organization of Russian Compatriots (MORS); Archimandrite Alexander (Zarkeshev), from the Cultural and Educational Center (KPC) at the Church of the Holy Apostle Philip in Sharjah.
After listening to the speakers, the delegates unanimously voted in favor of declaring the results of the work of the United Arab Emirates KSOR satisfactory. Following the results of the Xth country conference, delegates from organizations of Russian compatriots adopted a resolution, the text of which was read by Sergey Tokarev, general secretary of the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs in Dubai. It reflected the main achievements of the organizations of compatriots in the UAE for the previous period and identified the most important areas of work for the coming year, in particular:
- To intensify the work on involving Russian compatriots from among the youth in the public life of the Russian-speaking diaspora in the UAE. Define the circle of youth events held in Russia and abroad, make efforts to ensure the participation of young compatriots from the UAE.
- Make more active use of information resources (the official KSORS website and the KSORS website on Facebook) to cover the activities of organizations of Russian compatriots in the UAE.
- Special thanks to Alexander Vladimirovich Efimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the United Arab Emirates, and Gocha Levanovich Buachidze, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Dubai and Northern Emirates for the assistance provided during the preparation and celebration of May 9.
