Hundreds of seahorses appeared near Dubai's first underwater resort

Seahorses born near The Heart of Europe hotels and facilities will live on artificial reefs in Dubai.

Hundreds of seahorses were born as part of the first phase of The Heart of Europe off the coast of Dubai.

About 500 seahorses, which in the future will reach 10-15 cm in length, will be placed in aquariums as part of a project consisting of six islands.

Biologist Dr. Andrian Evans, who is responsible for the development of the marine ecosystem, notes that the species of ridge that now lives in aquariums is included in the list of endangered species.

"This species is at high risk of extinction if efforts are not made to conserve it, so we hope that our work will help establish a population of seahorses on our reefs near The Heart of Europe," said Dr. Evans.

The project provides for the creation of the world's first underwater resort. Floating Venice Resort includes 12 hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues, divided into four zones, one of which will be under water.
