The passport of the United Arab Emirates has risen in the ranking of the best passports for travel.
Bilateral agreement on the abolition of visas between the UAE and the Russian Federation put the UAE passport on the 10th line in the ranking of the best travel passports in the world.
The agreement with Russia allowed the UAE passport to gain 155 points in the Arton Capital Passport Index international passport rating. It is worth noting that the Russian passport in this rating has only 115 points.
Singapore occupies the top line, 166 points on the account of this country’s passport, Germany is second, the document of the European state boasts 164 points. The third place was shared immediately by 12 countries, including the USA, South Korea, Italy and France. Passport of the United Arab Emirates occupies the 10th line with Cyprus.
The recent agreement with the UAE did not bring the Russian passport any changes in the rating, since the emirate already had a rule for obtaining a visa upon arrival for Russian citizens.
Last year, more than 750 thousand Russians visited the UAE in total. This influx of tourists attracted $ 2.3 billion to the UAE economy.
In 2017, the UAE authorities announced their intention to ensure that the Arab state passport is among the five most “powerful” passports in the world by 2021. Prior to the adoption of the agreement on the abolition of visas from the Russian Federation, the UAE passport rating was 132 points.
