Russian Kalashnikov to supply electric vehicles to the United Arab Emirates

The Kalashnikov Concern has signed an agreement on the supply of electric vehicles - motorcycles and cars to the United Arab Emirates.

During the international forum "Army", which takes place in the Moscow region from August 21 to 26, Kalashnikov Concern JSC signed a memorandum of cooperation with Mawarid Holding.

The concern reports that this agreement involves the supply of electric vehicles and electric motorcycles to the United Arab Emirates. Mawarid from the UAE specializes in the civilian and military sectors, but, according to TASS, we are talking about the export of civilian vehicles.

Deputy Director General of the Kalashnikov Concern for Sales of Civil Products Olga Boytsova said that in the next two years, UM-1 series electric motorcycles and UV-4 electric vehicles will be delivered to the United Arab Emirates.

At its booth on August 23, Kalashnikov presented a prototype of the CV-1 electric car, which the media called the "Tesla competitor." The prototype has a characteristic design - it is built on the basis of the ILZ-21252 "Combi" retrocruiser. According to the concern, the electric car has a range of 350 km and is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km h in 6 seconds. UV-4, which will be delivered to the UAE, has a range of 150 km.
