The first glasses printed on a 3D printer go on sale in the UAE

Soon, residents of the United Arab Emirates will be able to become the owners of the first glasses created using 3D printing technology.

Immensa Technology Labs from the UAE announced a partnership with Monogram Eyewear, which will result in the sale of the first line of products made using 3D printing. The first line will be represented by a collection of points.

After more than a year of testing and prototyping, the product is ready for sale. It will be the first commercial product printed on a 3D printer in the region, the company said.

Bassel Kabak, founder and managing director of Monogram Eyewear, said: "We are pleased and proud to have introduced the first 3D glasses in Dubai, designed to bring a revolution to the regional optics market."

He also noted that the creation of revolutionary frames corresponds to the strategy of Dubai regarding 3D printing technology.

Frames will go on sale at a price of 1.3 thousand to 1.65 thousand dirhams ($ US 353 - 449) in four colors. Fifteen design options are available.
