Abu Dhabi signs historic peace declaration

Pope Francis and Supreme Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed Al Tayeb Mosque signed a historic peace declaration in Abu Dhabi.

Dubai, UAE. Pope Francis and supreme imam of Al Azhar Ahmed Al Tayeb Mosque, a famous Muslim theologian, signed a historic declaration in Abu Dhabi on the peaceful coexistence and solidarity of peoples in the presence of the rulers of the United Arab Emirates.

A declaration called "Human Brotherhood" calls for building bridges of love, friendship, and peaceful coexistence between people and joint efforts to fight extremism and its negative contributions to the development of civilization. The ceremony was attended by over 400 religious leaders and thinkers of our time.

During the ceremony, the newly established Dar Zayed Human Brotherhood Award was also presented. Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb was awarded her for her efforts to protect the values ​​of tolerance and the fight against extremism. In his lectures and sermons, the theologian always called for the rejection of hatred, the observance of the rights of all people and the peaceful neighborhood of nations and cultures.
