UAE Special Olympics hymn unveiled

The official anthem of the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi will be performed by Avril Lavigne.

Dubai, UAE. The official anthem of the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi is announced, which will be played at the opening ceremony next Thursday, March 14.

The song "Right Where I'm supposed To Be", written by Grammy Award winner Greg Wales, will be performed by pop star Avril Lavigne, singer Louis Fonsi (performer of the hit Despacito), and Emirate singer Hussein Al Jasmi, as well as Arab performers Tamir Hosni and Asala Nasri.

“I am glad that the Special Olympics will be held in Abu Dhabi, where East and West meet. We want to unite the whole universe along this path. The power of music and the message inherent in the song can cross out all ideological differences, ”Wales noted.

The song will sound in English interspersed with Spanish. The ceremony will take place at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. More than 7.5 thousand athletes from 190 countries of the world will take part in it.
