In the United Arab Emirates toughened the penalty for driving on the sidelines

The United Arab Emirates continues to fight offenders who turn off the main road to the sidelines.

On June 25, 2019, the Abu Dhabi authorities issued a new warning for drivers shortening the route in traffic jams along the sidelines. On Twitter, police recalled that the offense interferes with ambulances.

Police also emphasized that interfering with emergency vehicles, including ambulances and police cars, is an “uncivilized behavior” and prevents employees from getting to where they need them.

Since July 1 of this year, the penalty for driving on the sidelines is 1000 dirhams ($ US 272) with the confiscation of the car for 30 days.

From July 1, a fine of 3 thousand dirhams ($ US 816) is foreseen for interfering with emergency vehicles.
