Dubai, UAE. The Dubai Roads and Transport Committee and Careem private taxi service have announced the launch of a new online taxi reservation service in the emirate. Already in September of this year, the Hala city taxi can be booked through the Careem online application.
In May, tests were conducted, in which 2 thousand city taxis were booked through a mobile application, while receiving good reviews - 4 and 5 stars. In particular, the taxi waiting time was reduced from 12-14 minutes to 4.5 minutes.
In September, it is expected to approach 3 minutes. In general, half of all taxis owned by the Dubai Committee on Roads and Transport will be available for booking through the app.
