From heaven to earth

IT SEEMS THAT CUISER FASHION DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING COMMON WITH REAL LIFE. HOWEVER, THE CHANEL HAUTE COUTURE COLLECTION "SPRING-SUMMER 2016" IN PARIS SHOWED THAT EVEN Couture MAY BE EVERYDAY AND FULLY SUITABLE FOR LIFE.

The main task for Karl Lagerfeld, who worked on this show, was the creation of an “earthly” collection in every sense of the word.

Global trends in environmental friendliness left their mark on Chanel: Lagerfeld put the most natural material - wood as the basis for the calm gray-beige line. It adorns dresses, two-piece suits, coats, and some decorative elements, such as flowers on evening and wedding dresses, and are completely made of small plates of wood. Dresses are complemented by golden clasps and accessories in the form of bees, which once again emphasizes the influence of nature on the work of Lagerfeld. An eco-friendly approach was reflected in the show itself: the Grand Palais, where all the shows of the French fashion house are traditionally held, turned into a wooden dollhouse with a green lawn. By the way, after the show, all the wooden structures and panels were recycled.
