The Return of the 80s

After a fairly stable season, dominated by the images of the 60s and 70s, the designers decided that it was time to "back to the future", and stepped forward 10 years. It all started in New York at the Rodarte show with their stunning sequin cocktail dresses. The trend was supported by the promising designer Jonathan Anderson for his own collection J.W. Anderson. Bright palettes of the 80s flickered on the Bottega Veneta fashion show, and Nicolas Geschierre for Louis Vuitton marked the return of the era attribute - voluminous puff sleeves, wide at the base and tapering to the elbow.

Pantsuit

Classic silhouette again! Well, this is only pleasing. After all, there is nothing more elegant, bewitchingly feminine and stylish than a chic pantsuit of impeccable cut from fabrics of expensive textures. It's time to invest in what will become the basis of the wardrobe for years to come, for example, in the Hugo Boss costume from the new collection.

Patchwork

The richly textured displays of Etro, Chloe and Valentino reminded that the 70s still fully influence the world podium. Patchwork on outerwear, complemented by flared trousers, can suit creative people.

Touch the velvet

One of the most enjoyable textures in the world - velvet - is back in fashion. This material was used in their collections by Emilio Pucci and Dries van Noten - in wide trousers, in capes and skirts - Lanvin, in lowered overalls - Sonia Rykiel and in fitted coats of the Gothic collection - Alexander Wang.

In all its splendor

Christopher Kane and Marco de Vincenzo tried to bring Lurex into fashion, and it should be noted that shiny textures again became an unconditional trend. Jonathan Anderson for Loewe presented the trend in pleated skirts, Dior in a stylish mesh, and Nina Ricci in trendy sequins this spring. Shine is really a very effective way to update your wardrobe, enhance the impression of the image and add mischief to it.

Strength in the classic

A classic white shirt never fails. Designers know this, so they use simple white shirts in every way to give shape and conciseness to their collections. Altuzarra high collars, Chanel bow ties, ruffles on Michael Kors sleeves and Rodarte transparency made one thing clear: in the new season, a white shirt should be in every woman’s wardrobe.

Eastern influence

This year, designers have borrowed a lot from their eastern neighbors. Dragons rage on Valentino dresses and Dries Van Noten jackets. An incredible amount of lace can be seen at the shows of Alexander McQueen, Diane von Furstenberg and Roberto Cavalli, and the glitter of gold - at J. Mendel, Donna, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Tom Ford and Oscar de la Renta. By the way, China has become not only a strategic cause of such effects due to high sales, but also the main theme of the upcoming MET ball in New York.
