Dear readers of the magazine "Russian Emirates", dear compatriots!
I cordially congratulate you on the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. For Belarus this holiday is of particular importance. During the war years, every third resident of our country died. Over 1.3 million Belarusians and natives of Belarus brought Victory closer to their feat of arms. Over 400 thousand partisans and underground fighters fought against the invaders in the occupied territory of Belarus. For courage and heroism over 300 thousand of our countrymen were awarded orders and medals, 444 of them were awarded the title of Hero, 70 people became full holders of the Order of Glory.
The Brest Fortress became a symbol of valor and fortitude, where until the last drop of blood warriors of more than 30 nationalities fought. We will do our best to keep the memory of the heroic deed of our peoples, who made a decisive contribution to the victory over fascism, forever in the hearts of generations of grateful descendants.
