Dubai Metro has been named the best among 22 subway systems worldwide, according to the online resource Fodors.com.
During the presentation of the voting results, Fodors.com representatives noted that the Dubai Metro opened the first 10 stations in 2009 and is currently in the process of further construction. Dubai Metro is the longest transportation system in the world with a fully automated mode of operation of trains without drivers.
Each station of the Dubai Metro is designed in the style of imitation of the four main natural elements: water, fire, earth, air. Train cars are divided into the categories of "gold class", "silver class", as well as special cars for women and children.
