Crews of the future

Text: Konstantin Andreev

INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITIONS OF AUTOMOBILE, WATER AND AIR TRANSPORT IN THE LAST TIME HAVE ONE GENERAL TREND: FROM YEAR TO YEAR, ALL MORE CONCEPTS APPEAR TO IT'S COMPLETELY COMPLETE. SOMEONE CAN TRACK THE TRENDS OF TOMORROW DURING THEM, AND SEPARATE ORIGINALS WHO PREFER FORMING TRENDS BY PERSONAL EXAMPLE, BUY NOW.

Land

The most recent brood of the crew of the future we observed in March at the Geneva International Motor Show. The first thing that catches your eye is the typically Marxist transition of quantity into quality. Most of the concept car models presented at the stands are not limited solely by the imagination of the designer, but are the fruits of many years of development by scientists, engineers and marketers.

NanoFlowcell QUANT e-Sportlimousine Concept

Manufacturers with advanced degrees from Liechtenstein could qualify for the first competition in the longest name for their concept. The car is also not from the company of shorties - only the doors rising in the Gullwing style are two meters long, but both inhabitants of the front and rear seats can get out from under such a wing. The electrolimo itself extends from bumper to bumper at 5.257 m. Four electric motors located directly in the wheels can accelerate a 2.3-ton car to hundreds of km / h in 2.8 seconds.

The maximum speed is 390 km / h, power, if desired, can be briefly increased from 635 to 924 horsepower, the torque is 2900 Nm. The concept battery was developed jointly by NanoFlowcell and Bosch, and, unlike the Tesla, it is something fresher than several thousand Panasonic finger-wired batteries. Two separate cylinders are filled with electrolyte, the composition of which is classified. Skeptics, however, argue that it is just about salt water. The Italian design studio Zagato worked on the exterior and interior (four full-size dark leather armchairs separated by mahogany worktops, fiber optic lighting). In Liechtenstein, they promise to certify their revolutionary breakthrough and put it on sale already in 2015 - even if this requires engaging the entire 36,000th population of the principality.

Unmanned Rinspeed XchangE

Known for the early James Bond style watercraft design and other futuristic tuning, the Swiss company Rinspeed this year pleased the public with the XchangE unmanned electric vehicle. The basis was taken Model S - the second in the line of the California brand Tesla Motors, a consequence of the "random connection" of Google and PayPal. Traditionally, the Swiss did not invade the dynamics, leaving everything as it is: a three-phase AC motor with a power of 270 kW, rear-wheel drive, R-N-F gearbox, acceleration to hundreds in 4.4 seconds, reverse braking.

Traditionally, the Swiss did not invade the dynamics, leaving everything as it is: a three-phase AC motor with a power of 270 kW, rear-wheel drive, R-N-F gearbox, acceleration to hundreds in 4.4 seconds, reverse braking.

Rinspeed founder and CEO Frank Rinderknecht calls the new concept “an office and a living room on wheels” and believes that the drone sets new standards for human behavior in a car that no longer needs to steer. Objectively speaking, they, the standards, do not differ too much from the actions of a passenger in a regular car with a driver: watching TV and out the window, sleeping, eating, talking to fellow travelers or by phone. But the XchangE convertible saloon allows you to do this with previously unattainable comfort. Otto Bock chairs are rotated 180 ° and laid out to the full horizontal, the steering wheel that is not mechanically connected with the wheels moves off to the center, the glass roof can be deprived of transparency if desired and light up the constellations of the LED backlight, a 32-inch LED screen lights up at the back. Harman is responsible for the sound in the cabin, Eberspächer for the climate, Carl F. Bucherer for the time, Amici for coffee, and Deutsche Telekom for 3GPP LTE connection quality. And in this case, the maximum drone speed - 200 km / h - does not seem so important compared to the ability to receive and send information in the amount of 1 GB per second.

Maserati Alfieri - 100 Years Ahead

Presented in Geneva, the Maserati Alfieri concept is an example of design idealism, when, by the turn of the century, the brand is a genius of pure beauty, not obscured by the dictates of technologists and marketing specialists.

Named for one of Maserati’s six brothers, the 4.5-meter-high “taste of steel” car is internally shrouded in copper, and instrument scales futuristically revolve around fixed numbers. The transmission of the concept was borrowed from cars of the Maserati brand not even today, but yesterday. A 4.7 liter atmospheric V8 engine is located under the hood, while a robotic gearbox is located in the rear wheels.

The author of the concept, designer Lorenzo Ramachiotti, believes that he has shaped the brand’s cars for the next hundred years, and as for the launch of this model in production, it is planned in about two years. During this time, the concept is designed to "run in" style solutions for all available Maserati production models - a sports coupe, convertible and sedan.

UAV sets new standards of behavior in the car

The most important message of the exhibition was the phrase of CEO of the Renault / Nissan alliance Carlos Ghosn, who promised that by 2020 the cars will become completely autonomous, that is, they will not depend on gas stations, maintenance and, finally, the driver. The statement is quite bold, but now you can see how automakers are trying to get closer to the intended goal

Nissan BladeGlider

Along with consumer goods, the Franco-Japanese alliance Renault-Nissan brought to Geneva a pretty triple BladeGlider concept. The deltoid design of the electric car resembles the gift packaging of a Gillette razor and is fully technologically justified. In this "isosceles triangle", almost everything is concentrated behind: both electric motors, a lithium-ion battery, passengers. Ahead is only a driver who, according to Ben Bowlby, who is responsible for innovation at Nissan Motorsport, has such a scheme that gives more advantages for management. The narrow nose of the machine provides minimal air resistance, rear-wheel drive, coupled with rear-engine layout and Michelin 285/35 tires give an unprecedented breakthrough at the start. Spoilers and other aerodynamic things are not needed for this electric car - it serves as a wing for itself, a sort of glider on the contrary. The novelty should also slow down unlike more hard: here the main effort will again be on the rear wheels.

This is not the first appearance of BladeGlider in public - it was already "lit up" in November last year at the Tokyo Motor Show. But all the more, the concept has chances to go into production soon, and, accordingly, go on sale. All the same Bowlby is hinting at this, speaking about the prospects of BladeGlider to become the most controllable production car in the world and about the June races at Le Mans. This year, the closest racing relative of the Nissan ZEOD RC takes part in them, before which Nissan Delta Wing played there, and all this can not but affect the reputation of the concept - when the car is checked by serious people on serious tracks. And Andy Palmer, vice president of planning, doesn’t even hint, but bluntly says that the BladeGlider will stand in the model line a notch below 370 Z, that is, cost less than 50 thousand dollars.

Environmental BMW i8

A typical example of "crane in hands" can be considered the phenomenon of a hybrid sports coupe BMW i8 at the February auto show in Qatar. The development of the Bavarian concept has been ongoing for more than five years, but during this time everything was done so that in the second half of this year the car will go to official dealerships at a recommended price of 135 thousand euros. In particular, the production of a limited series began in 2013. A successful commercial for the i8 was the film "Mission Impossible: Phantom Protocol."

4.4 seconds of acceleration to hundreds and a power of 362 liters. with a turbocharged G8, they are favorably shaded by anorexic appetite - 2.5 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers. The driver can observe all the parameters of the car directly on the windshield. However, few people are surprised by this feature of atomic submarines. As standard, the exterior and interior lighting of the machine is fully LED, but as an option you can order today’s unique laser dipped and main beam headlights. Mohammed Kendil, the head of Alfardan Automobiles dealership, believes that it is difficult to surprise the Gulf countries, but in principle it is possible. For example, with such an inconceivable combination of brutal drive and environmental integrity.

Water

March Dubai International Boat Show has collected more than 430 boats from 50 countries. Among the presented boats and yachts were 42 world and regional premieres. The exhibition was visited by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister, Vice President of the UAE and ruler of Dubai. The largest of the 19 superyachts represented were the 88.5-meter Nirvana, built by Oceanco, and the 88-meter Quattroelle, created at the Lürssen shipyard. But these boats, the length of a good destroyer, were published last year, but we propose to pay attention to two fresh new items with interesting content.

Sunseeker SS 155 - one million per foot

The most attention was paid to the new 48-meter flagship of the Sunseeker lineup - the SS 155 three-deck superyacht. The English shipyard, known for its product placement in the James Bond films, has recently made a curious style breakthrough from its already several familiar white-top-blue boats bottom ". The genre classics were replaced by chopped forms and parallelogram windows - it seems that the shipyard architects consulted with Filippo Perini, the chief designer of Lamborghini. Cruising range of the boat From the same Dubai International Boat Show about the birth of a new flagship in the model line, the young Italian shipyard Wider reported.

The circumstances of the birth of the 50-meter “baby” Wider 165 puts four thousand nautical miles quite curiously, two MTU diesel engines reach speeds of up to 22 knots. Equipped with everything necessary for a long trip, the yacht is a real floating hotel - in addition to the master cabin, there are four further double rooms for guests with bathrooms in each, two salons, one bar and two garages for boats.

An advantageous feature of the boat is the special hull design, allowing owners to carry out redevelopment without consulting the manufacturer. It is noteworthy that the SS 155 was sold in the first hours after the opening of the exhibition for 153 million dirhams.

Wider 165 - wide my native country

Wider Yachts was registered in 2010, but its historical roots stretch back to the middle of the last century, when the Rivne (meaning not Rivne, but Ravenna) ragazzi Tilly Antonelli and Fulvio de Simoni began to go to sea on makeshift sailing boats. They were followed by the first motorboats, in 1985 a fiberglass hull was glued on a plywood blank and decided to call the boat "pershing" - in honor of the then fashionable cruise missiles, which in turn were named after the American general. In the future, the paths of the friends parted to reunite in 2010. During this time, Fulvio founded Italprojekt and became famous all over the world as architetto navali, and Tilly unleashed his brand of the fastest and most comfortable Pershing boats to such a level that the Feretti brothers' yachting empire wished to buy it. In the crisis year of 2009, this empire "leaked", and Antonelli, once again united with Simoni, created a new brand Wider.

Armed with the motto "never enough" and inviting the designer of the water "Formula 1" Mark Wilson, the new team made a tented 42-foot boat in a year that could fly on water at a speed of 100 km / h. From the "Pershing" he got a three-stage composite hull vacuum molding and Howard Arneson rotary screws, which allow you to do without a rudder and reduce the water resistance by a quarter. Absolute industry news was the sliding sides, expanding the deck to the dimensions of a 120-foot yacht. In 2012, the success of Wider 42 in the Asia-Pacific countries entailed a partnership with the Genting Group. The money of the “Asian tiger” allowed the launch of Wider superyachts, and production in Monteporzio was expanded by buying a hangar in Ancona. In 2013, Wider 42 became the first motor yacht in the world to fly in the An-124 transporter: the company thus mastered the "express delivery" to the Middle East. As for superyachts, they are still under construction and so far plow the expanses of the Internet thanks to the art of animators. The launch of the Wider 150 is expected in 2015. The 165-foot flagship will be awarded to the customer a year later.

Duchess of Riva

The panoramic glazing of the cabin, which is located in the inter-level space of the flybridge and the main deck, provides excellent visibility and penetration of daylight. In addition to the control post, it also has a salon with a dining area for a crew of five. On the flybridge, which is slightly shifted to the stern and crowns the elegant silhouette of the ship, are two stairs - from the passenger compartment and from the cockpit. And on the “roof” itself there is a terrace for sunbathing with a fabric tent.

The architects designed the main deck on the principle of "unsurpassed perfection - in simplicity": it housed a voluminous aft cockpit, a luxurious saloon, a dining area and a bathroom for day use. The interior is dominated by dark American walnut, bulkheads and furniture are stitched with high-quality leather of milk and chocolate shades, the floors are finished with varnished oak wood. Inside, there are two soft sofas and a teak table, ready to accommodate eight guests. The absence of partitions and large volumes make it possible to arrange very crowded parties on board.

The recognizable silhouette of the Riva 92 Duchessa is formed by huge tinted portholes of the lower deck cabins cut in the sides of the boat. On the lower deck, in the widest part of the hull, there are four guest cabins. The owner’s apartments have a huge bathroom, almost half the body, as well as an impressive dressing room. The rectangular VIP cabin is no less spacious and resembles a luxury hotel room. Two more cabins for guests with parallel beds and private bathrooms are located on the sides of the yacht, the entire bow is given for the needs of the crew. Two powerful yacht engines accelerate it to a maximum speed of 28 knots and cruising to 25 knots. However, it goes without refueling 360 miles.

Seeing the majestic "duchess" from the shore, floating on the expanse of the open sea, you will look forward to when she comes closer to see this magnificent masterpiece in all its elegant details. And having become the owner of the Riva 92 Duchessa, enter the host of the elect, joining the company of Bridget Bardot, Sophia Loren, Prince of Monaco Rene and many other worthy of this world!

Air

According to statistics, a businessman from the UAE spends from 100 to 150 hours a month on flights on personal business jets, while businessmen from Europe spend only from 50 to 100. Private aviation is very popular because renting an airplane - It is not only prestigious, but also extremely convenient. From a more than wide selection of air limousines, we selected two interesting novelties that deserve special attention.

Dassault Falcon 5X - Steel Squadron Rookie

Indirectly related to the Little Prince, Marcel Dassault (it was on his mail plane in the 1930s that Antoine de Saint-Exupery flew) would have been glad if he had survived. Over the past five years, the Dassault fleet of business jets in the Middle East has doubled. Today, operators such as Saudia Private Aviation and Wallan Aviation operate a steel squadron of approximately 70 French Falcon jets. All of them are deservedly appreciated for the military quality of assembly and the military resource of engines, mechanical (read - jewelry) processing of metal parts, special attention to comfort, which makes it possible to assemble full-size beds from folding chairs even in the middle class. As the regional director of the Renault Cloatre brand believes, the Falcon 5X triad should be considered the flagship of sales in the Persian Gulf. But the situation may change with the advent of the new Dassault Aviation model on the market - the transcontinental twin-engine Falcon 5X. The flight range of the new business jet is 9300 km, the world premiere is scheduled for mid-2017, the lion's share of customers for today were visitors to the February air show in Abu Dhabi.

Airbus ACJ319 with bath, living room, fountain and garden

In February, an Airbus ACJ319 flew to the Abu Dhabi air show. The premiere of this 19-seater transcontinental class aircraft in the Middle East was carried out by the British operator Acropolis Aviation. A similar class of business aviation involves zoning of premises, and here in accordance with this there is a living room, a dining room, a conference room, a bedroom and a bathroom.

To date, 170 such aircraft have already been made; one Airbus Corporate Jet even managed to fly to Antarctica. At different times, their interiors were designed by Norman Foster, Zahi Hadid and Versace House. Designers of the Airbus Corporate Jet Center, which is located in Toulouse next to the assembly hangars, worked on the trim of the current ACJ319. Made modestly, but tolerant to local tastes. Having arrived on this liner as a passenger, the head of Airbus customer service, John Leahy, admitted that comfort was not even at the VIP, but at the VVIP level. “The Middle East has always been a welcome customer for us,” John added. “Here we sold our first ACJ, here people for the most part prefer wide-body jets to everyone else. For our part, we are doing everything so that our truckers have the same high efficiency, like all other business aviation vessels. "

An interesting feature of the novelty is the built-in ladder. As you know, its role in business jets of small and middle classes is played by a hinged front door, but for "truckers" its length to the ground is not enough. But to arrange a motorized staircase is not so easy even at a regular airport, not to mention autonomously located business aviation terminals, where such a little-used device may not even be there.
