Demand for superyachts growing in UAE

Emirate companies will commission 18 new superyachts to customers in 2014, which will allow them to enter the top ten largest luxury ship manufacturers in the world. All the new yachting industry will be available at the Dubai International Boat Show, from March 4 to 8, in Dubai. On the territory of the marine club Mina Seyahi, 430 vessels will moor, of which 19 superyachts, including the largest in the world!
It is worth recalling that last year, one of the new yacht salons, the 40-meter Alloy 40 from the Italian manufacturer Sanlorenzo, was acquired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president, prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai. Its exclusivity is emphasized by four decks with terraces and a unique interior decoration using olive and oak wood. Two dining tables on the upper deck can accommodate 12 guests. On the lower deck there are two double and two triple cabins, which can accommodate 10 guests, crew members and the captain. The yacht has a speed of 28 knots at a cruising speed of 25 knots. Construction took four years.
Earlier, the ruler of the emirate has already become the owner of the 162-meter beauty Dubai, the second largest in the world, which can often be seen near the man-made island of The Palm Jumeirah. Last year, it became known that His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, made the most expensive purchase in recent history. He acquired the Azzam yacht for US $ 627 million.
According to the Wealth-X report, yachts are the most common purchase among billionaires: they are owned by 80% of super-rich people. So, the Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich acquired the 164-meter Eclipse super-boat for about US $ 485 million, vodka tycoon Yuri Shefler the Serene yacht for US $ 300 million. Among the Middle Eastern owners of superyachts, it is worth highlighting the Sultan of Oman, owning the Al-Said vessel (155 meters) ), the royal family of Saudi Arabia with the yacht "Prince Abdulaziz" (147 meters), as well as the Emir of Qatar with its 133-meter "Al Mirkab".
