Dubai opens a new line of water transport to the Flamingo Reserve

Dubai Roads and Transport Committee (RTA) has launched a new waterway line from Festival City Station harbor to the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary Flamingo Conservation Area.

Passengers will travel along the calming waters of the harbor through flowering gardens, and everyone can enjoy the scenic scenery.

"A short cruise takes about 30 minutes, in several places the water bus will slow down, and passengers will be able to take memorable photos amid stunning views," said Bahauddin Al Kudra, director of the RTA Maritime Transport Agency.

The water bus will run from Saturday to Thursday and depart at 10:00 and 11:00 in the morning, and then from 14:00 to 18:00 (every hour).

On Fridays, the bus will operate in a reduced mode, from 14:00. A round-trip road will cost one passenger 25 dirhams (US $ 6.8), tickets can be purchased directly on board. Also, buses will be available for rental by individuals.

The comfortable, safe air-conditioned water bus was launched in 2007 between water stations in the Dubai Creek. Vehicles are equipped with comfortable seats and LCD-monitors, as well as additional amenities to ensure the comfort of the residents and guests of Dubai.
