The Ajman Palace grew by the sea palace

Text: Natalia Remmer

Many of our compatriots come to the emirates in order to enjoy a piece of the sweet life of Arabian sheikhs at their historical homeland and, of course, to enjoy the sweet sea. IF YOU APPRECIATE TRUE COMFORT AND WANT TO FEEL THE COLOR OF SAINT ARABIA, YOU ARE WAITING FOR THE NEW LUXURY HOTEL “ADJMAN'S PALACE”, GROWING ON THE SHORE OF THE PERIODE GEMERA WATER. 2012.

Royal traditions

For the five-star hotel The Ajman Palace, the phrase royal chambers is not a metaphor at all. A few years ago this place housed the family villa of the ruling dynasty of Al Kassimi, where the emirs and their families loved to spend the weekend. And today the rooms of the "royal suite" category occupied the entire penthouse space on the seventh, top floor in the new hotel. Access to rooms decorated according to individual projects of the Al Kassimi family is possible only with the prior consent of the owners. What can not be said, for example, about access to the sea or pool bar. However, first things first.

Paying tribute to Islamic traditions, architects erected the "Ajman Palace" in the form of a crescent, facing the Persian Gulf. At the head - 11 wind towers-barges, without which the emirate’s building can not be imagined. It is at the base of these "air intakes" that the restrooms of the ruling family are located.

The interior of the palace hotel is designed in the traditional Mashrabiya style: the original Arabic weaving dominates the decoration of the spacious main hall, elegant banquet rooms and hotel rooms. It can be seen even in handmade embroidery on snow-white bedding. In fact, the white color in the interior is present along with the natural salad and a touch of sandy desert. Therefore, even in an ultramodern room equipped with the latest technology, you will not be able to forget that you have arrived on the Arabian Peninsula.

The inhabitants of the United Arab Emirates are well aware that the Al Kassimi family is distinguished by its delicate aesthetic taste, and in many respects thanks to them - fans of high art - Sharjah received the title of the cultural capital of the UAE. Of course, while working on a project of a practically family residence, they did not miss important trifles. The Ajman Palace is not deliberate luxury, on the contrary, elegance and functionality became its special features - in columns with playing lights, in a painted dome, in arches of snow-white arches, and in large-format photographs on the walls, where you can learn a lot about the features life in the modern emirates.

An oasis of serenity

The tiny emirate of Ajman is a real oasis for a relaxing and carefree beach holiday. Previously, fishermen and pearl catchers settled here, today local Bedouins build super-yachts and enjoy the leisurely flow of life and the cool sea breeze. Let's count: only 22 kilometers from Dubai and 11 kilometers from Sharjah (in this case, we are talking about the distance to the nearest airports, which we take as a reference point). Isn’t this the nearest quiet place to spend a long, by our standards, three-day weekend ?!

For me personally, a five-plus getaway begins at a luxury hotel, which should give the full feeling that you don’t need to take care of anything and forget about the painful gatherings of the bag. The room should have everything: from snow-white bathrobes, many comfortable pillows and the entire spectrum of premium bath cosmetics - to wireless Internet (just in case!) And a bewitching panoramic view of the sea.

I had a chance to enjoy an unhurried vacation in a chic room of the Grand Deluxe category, which the average Russian could easily compare with a brand new two-room apartment.

On the one hand - the standard options for a hotel of the highest category, on the other - a complete sense that everything is done wisely and with soul. A lot of space, you can just get enough sleep under the light splash of sea waves - in general, complete serenity!

Separately, it is worth staying in the kitchen at the hotel, which, perhaps, is of paramount importance for any tourist, especially given the remoteness of trendy city restaurants. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are offered by the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, where you can try homemade soups, a variety of snacks and desserts, including fresh homemade cakes, freshly squeezed juices. Those who like to immerse themselves in the local flavor will enjoy the panoramic Arabesque Gourmet restaurant, where the Emirate cuisine is presented in a modern way.

In summer, especially in hot weather, Asian-fusion and live cooking healthy teppanyaki dishes await guests at the Dragon Cave Japanese-Thai restaurant. Next fall, roof terraces and the podium will open, where you can enjoy hookah and desserts right under the starry sky.

During my visit, the hotel was preparing for the next luxurious local wedding, which is not uncommon: tables were served in the banquet hall on the second floor and napkins were placed on dishes in the form of a pair of "storks" in love. I looked into the room where the bride preen before going out on the most joyful day of her life, and into the wedding suite, which is essentially the first residence of the newlyweds. Needless to say, a paradise, ideal for those who are just starting to twist their nest.

The whole space seems to be singing in unison: "Come to the Ajman Palace and spend your honeymoon here!".

In three words

The hotel has 254 rooms, including 6 Grand Deluxe rooms, 23 one-bedroom apartments and 17 two-bedroom apartments, 3 royal suites. The rooms have widescreen televisions, high-speed Internet, a minibar, a telephone and a hairdryer.
