The famous chef and TV presenter Sylvena Rowe demonstrated to the Dubai public her wide knowledge in the field of culinary art, which she is fluent in. The event was specially organized for participants and guests of the prestigious interests club Capital Club. The evening's menu included chef's signature snacks, including stewed eggplant with nuts, original profiteroles with hummus and sesame seeds. As the main dishes, the guests were offered foie gras with herbs, vegetables and flower petals (it is the use of flowers in cooking that is Sylvena Rowe's signature style - approx. Ed.), The Ottoman crab with coconut and coriander and black cod in sweet pomegranate sauce. The culmination of the evening was a real theatrical performance "Chocolate Explosion": all the liquid ingredients of the dessert were masterfully sprinkled on tables and sprinkled with chocolate and sweets on top. This show caused a real delight of the audience!

The modern Mexican restaurant Fuego on the third floor of the Souk Al Bahar complex was created in order to become not just a hot, but a truly fiery point on the "body" of Dubai (Tierra del Fuego, or Tierra del Fuego archipelago). After all, the true taste of Mexico should be just that - flaming and passionate. The room is small, divided into three main rooms: a dining room, a room for a private dinner and a bar. The fiery concept prevails in the design: an illuminated bar counter, decorative panels with patterns typical for the Latin region, an abundance of stone and dark wood. The atmosphere favors a leisurely dinner with friends. It is believed that the basis of Mexican cuisine is meat snacks, but in the Fuego menu we found many dishes of fish and seafood. Among them - all the expected snacks "Ceviche", lamb on the grill (barbacoa), hearty fajitos and burritos (analogue of shawarma - approx. Ed.) And many more delights of national cuisine, familiar to us from TV shows from childhood. It is worth mentioning the bar, where, of course, you can not do without the famous tequila, a dozen signature cocktails and an impressive wine list.

At the entrance, we were met by chef Jose Manuel, author of the restaurant's signature dishes. As an aperitif, they brought us nachos (chips made from cornmeal) with two types of sauce - spicy and sweet and sour. On the recommendation of Jose, we chose guacamole, or avocado salad. It was prepared before our eyes in two minutes and served in a pot of volcanic lava. Still, these kinds of snacks for a hot climate are indispensable: light, refreshing, do not leave an unpleasant aftertaste. As the main dish, we preferred "fajitos" and "burritos" with Angus beef. The meat is tender, without seasoning, served hot, with green vegetables and herbs. The dish is light and, despite an impressive portion, leaves no weight. For dessert, fruit and herbal tea and signature pudding, also from chef Jose, to sweeten the evening.

In general, we spent no more than an hour in the restaurant, and during the conversation time passed quickly. Among the advantages of the institution I would like to highlight a cozy atmosphere and reasonable prices (the average bill for two is about 500 dirhams). The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.

Of the minuses - the lack of a view terrace and the relatively difficult accessibility of the place: many tourists still prefer network coffee houses. By the way, in September Mexico’s Independence Day will be celebrated here. Wait for our report from the scene!
