On Thursday, Etisalat, a telecommunications company from the Emirates, announced that 5% VAT will be included in all customer accounts served by postpaid tariffs. Clients receiving prepaid communication services will pay VAT on the factual amount spent, the cost of a scratch card will not be recalculated.
Earlier, Etisalat reported that they would add the cost of paying 5% value added tax to the accounts of subscribers from January 1, 2018.
