A network of budget hotels will launch 12 thousand rooms in the United Arab Emirates in two years

Indian OYO Hotels chain will launch 12 thousand hotel rooms in the United Arab Emirates by 2020.

Startup OYO Hotels plans to launch 12,000 rooms in 150 UAE hotels by 2020, the company said. OYO will begin its activities in Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah, and then expand to other emirates.

OYO Hotels operates on a franchise model with existing hotels. Currently, the brand has more than 270 thousand rooms under management.

Last month, the company raised a billion dollars. OYO Hotels is currently represented in more than 350 cities around the world in countries such as India, China, Malaysia, Nepal and the United Kingdom.

"More than 170 countries will participate in the World Expo 2020, and the hospitality sector in the Middle East and, in particular, in the UAE, will grow, and we will use our knowledge and experience in this market," said OyO Hotels founder Ritesh Agarwal.
