Lebanese artist Katya Trabulsi, author of the books "Others" and "Generation of War", who has won the audience in Dubai for more than 16 years with her paintings and sculptures, is organizing a large retrospective exhibition.
Here you can see the unique works of Trabulsi, created between 2005 and 2015, including 30 paintings, where the artist transformed her experiences of the Beirut war, fear and pain into the positive energy of bright colors. The task is difficult, but the artist set out to show the positive and negative sides of the relationship - birds and butterflies fluttering in the human skull symbolize freedom, red, white and yellow fiberglass sheep - the Lebanese people, according to the artist, blindly following their leader, and trees - constancy and fertility.
The exhibition will run until July 20 of this year at the La Galerie Nationale Gallery in Dubai (Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz).
