The first office, printed on an ZD printer, is presented in Dubai

SHEIKH MOHAMMED BIN RASHID AL MAKTUM, VICE PRESIDENT AND PRIME MINISTER OF THE UAE AND THE GOVERNOR DUBAI, STARTED A UNIQUE HIGH-TECH PROJECT IN THE TERRITORY OF EMIRATES TOWERS PERFECT.

It will become the temporary base for the Dubai Future Foundation. The project of the new office is considered as an example that can benefit regulatory authorities and research centers at the regional and international levels in the real application of 3D printing technology. The office space was built using a special mixture of cement and a set of building materials developed and manufactured in the UAE and the USA and passed a series of tests in China and the UK to ensure the reliability of the structure. For printing, a printer was used with a height of 6 meters and a width of 12 meters. The device is equipped with an automated robotic arm for the printing process.

A group of almost 18 people was involved in the operation of the printer and the construction of the building. As a result of the application of ZD-printing technology, labor costs were reduced by more than 50% compared with the project of erecting buildings of similar size in the traditional way. Ready office occupies a total area of 250 m2. Its installation on site took two days, and printing took only 17 days.
